Below is an overview of the key personell involved with Wood End Enterprises and the range of services we currently offer.

Mobile Woodmill

Wood can be milled with our mobile milling machine. A Wood Mizer. Your own wood can be Milled into Planks and Beams at your premises or ours.

Mulching

We have a small amount of wood mulch for your garden borders.

Kindling

We supply kindling to several local suppliers.

Wood chip for pathways

We can supply clean wood chip. We chip to order. Please phone for current prices.

G30/G50 Wood chip for Biomass

We can supply wood fuel for the emerging biomass market, and we can chip to G30 and G50 Standards.

Tree stump grinding/removal

We operate a stump grinding service through Danny Horne

We operate a tree surgery service through Nigel Earley.

KEY PERSONELL

Geoff Hughes

Geoff has had a successful 45 year career as an actor. Born in Liverpool he and his wife Sue moved to the Isle of Wight in 2003 to indulge his other great passion of trees. While carrying on his acting career he is actively involved in the day to day running of Wood End Enterprises.

Danny Horne

Isle of Wight buy with confidence Danny was born and raised on the Isle of Wight. After leaving school Danny did an agricultural degree at Sparsholt Collage and went on to run a cattle operation on a large estate in Hampshire. He returned to the island to work with his father in his environmental forestry business concentrating on Stump Grinding and has been the driving force in Geoff and Sue’s regeneration of Long Lane Plantation.

Nigel Earley

Isle of Wight buy with confidence Also born and raised on the island, Nigel runs a very successful tree surgery and forestry business. Selling logs and wood mulch, a by–product of his business.

Although still running their own businesses they have got together to form Wood End Enterprises to try and kick start the commercial processing of the islands timber.
